United Blood Services and Local Hospital Working to Help Storm Victims

EDINBURG, Texas - Doctors Hospital at Renaissance is working with United Blood Services to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Both organizations are hosting a blood drive until 6:00 p.m. at the Conference Center at Renaissance.
The blood donations will then be transported to the areas affected by the hurricane.

DHR Board Chairman, Dr. Carlos Cardenas said, "The normal supply of blood to those healthcare facilities in that area for both trauma needs and non-trauma needs has been interrupted. We and the rest of the state have the opportunity to step up as a community and help to provide the missing link in that chain that we need to continue to have blood products available for all patients.”

If you are not able to attend this blood drive, visit a United Blood Service Center at a later date for a donation.
