The city of South Padre Island will continue to monitor Tropical Wave Harvey. It is an estimated 55 hours out from potential landfall.  As a precaution, the community is asked to stay prepared and informed as this storm has potential to develop.

This is an opportunity to prepare your property in anticipation of strong winds and storm surge.  Prepare “stay” and “go” kits, ensure gas tanks are full, obtain non-perishable provisions and ensure prescriptions are refilled.
