Local Art Exhibit at the Pharr Memorial Library

PHARR, Texas - The Pharr Memorial Library has officially kicked off an art exhibition featuring multiple paintings from local artists.

Throughout the month of February, the main lobby will be filled with nearly 30 paintings for everyone to appreciate free of charge.

Most of the paintings featured in this exhibit were created by valley native, Roel Flores.

One of the library officials says, this art exhibit has had positive feedback from those who have seen the paintings already.

Adolfo Garcia - Library Director says, "Some people have never seen this type of art before. Other people are inspired by it, and other people are inspired to buy the art work. And that's what we encourage, for people to own original art pieces by local artist.”

A special reception will be held at the library on February 16 where people can meet Roel Flores and ask him questions about his art.
