Identity Released of Teen Killed in Cross Border Shooting

STARR COUNTY, Texas - The identity of the of the teenager, who was killed while fishing near the Rio Grande River, has been released.

17-year-old Adrian Espinoza, a U.S. Citizen, was with two of his relatives when he was killed by gunfire from the Mexican side of the river. 31-year-old Jose Roberto Peña and 56-year-old Enrique Ramirez.

Both men are currently receiving medical treatment. The Starr County Sheriff’s Department is investigating this case.
