Hope on Wheels Program

MCALLEN, Texas - Pediatric cancer patients at the Vannie E. Cook Children's Cancer and Hematology Clinic can keep receiving treatment at no cost. Hyundai's ‘Hope on Wheels’ Program granted a $50,000 donation to the clinic today to help improve care and increase treatment options for kids with cancer. The clinic in McAllen is one of 18 recipients across the country to receive the funds due its proven track record of caring for children with pediatric cancer.

Victoria Guerra - Director of Development says, "This gift really helps us because every year we struggle to meet our financial goal, and so that we can continue to serve children. We never have to turn a child away for inability to pay for treatment, so that's exactly what this gift is for and why it's so important."

During the ceremony, some of the young cancer patients from the clinic were able to leave their hand print on a vehicle as a symbol courage and hope.
