Become a Lord or Lady of Glencoe in Scotland

BROWNSVILLE, Texas - Highland Titles sells souvenir plots of land in the Scottish Highlands to people all over the world, for one reason.

“[To] make sure that the habitat that’s on the land can live in a natural environment,” said Lord Stephen Rossiter, Sales & Marketing Director for Highland Titles.

With local support, Highland Titles is reversing what they call centuries of damage to the land, caused by poor farming practices, by removing nonnative trees and replacing them with native Scottish Trees.

“The whole purpose is the conservation,” Lord Rossiter said.

By purchasing a piece of land, you may choose to take the title of Lord, or Lady of Glencoe.

“It’s really a courtesy title to show that you own land in Scotland,” he said. “It’s a real good excuse to come see us up in Scotland.”

Although worlds away from the Rio Grande Valley, nature lovers can style themselves with a royal title, and most importantly, help preserve the environment.
